About

My Mission

My mission is to not only help you identify the underlying issues to your problem, but to also equip you with tools and skills to face these challenges.

If you are a couple, I will help you identify areas from your family of origin that may be causing trouble in your marriage. Reconciliation of relationships is one of the main goals of my services

My Process

Not only will you fill in the intake paperwork, you will be requested to take a temperament test as a prerequisite to your counseling.

This Couples assessment reveals a-lot about your needs and environment. For a couple I will assess your relationship through a couples assessment that will identify areas that need growth in your relationship among the many things we can accomplish.

My Story

Hello, my name is Damalie Namale

Writing about yourself is probably one of the most difficult things one can do. Wouldn’t you agree? Well, here is my attempt at it. Despite the fact that I didn’t even know how to be relational, I’ve always had a desire to help people, but I had no clue how to bridge a career with my passion and desire. I went to college like most people and I obtained a degree in…tourism! I figured that it would put me in a position to help people from all over the world. In a way it did, but I wasn’t fully prepared to make an impact in people’s lives in a meaningful way.

This provoked me to pursue further education and as a result, I graduated from Cornerstone University with a Masters of Arts in Clinical Christian Counseling. I have also been Board Certified with the NCCA (National Christian Counselor’s Association) where I have become an ambassador member and a clinical supervisor in several specialties, such as Child & Adolescent Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, and Ethics, Crisis & Abuse Therapy, and Death & Grief Therapy.

Damalie Namale

You don't need a therapist who will simply validate how you feel. You need a clinician who can hold the complexity of who you are — your professional identity, your faith, your relational history, and the parts of you that have never been fully seen or healed.

That is the work I was trained to do, and it is the work I love.

MY STORY

My path to this work was not a straight line. I began with a degree in tourism — a genuine desire to connect with people across the world. But the connection at that level wasn't enough. I wanted to go deeper, to be a genuine source of healing for people in pain.

That pursuit led me to Cornerstone University, where I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Christian Counseling. It deepened through my own personal experience of illness, uncertainty, and the humbling gift of learning to receive help from others. That season taught me what healing actually feels like from the inside — and why it matters so profoundly.

For nearly 20 years, I have been privileged to sit with individuals and couples in the most vulnerable moments of their lives — helping them move from stuck to free, from fractured to restored.

MY CLINICAL APPROACH

I do not believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Before we begin our work together, every client completes a temperament assessment — a clinically robust tool that reveals how you are wired: how you receive love, process stress, respond to conflict, and connect with God and others. For couples, I add a couples assessment to map your relational dynamics and identify specific growth edges.

This assessment-first approach is not a formality. It is how I ensure that the work we do together is precisely calibrated to you — not to a generic protocol.

I draw from:

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — reshaping thought patterns that fuel anxiety, shame, and self-sabotage

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — building emotional regulation and distress tolerance

• Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) — deepening emotional connection in couples and healing attachment wounds

• DNMS: To help get unstuck from childhood parts stuck in the past.

• Temperament Therapy — understanding your God-given design and how it shapes every relationship

WHO I SERVE

I specialize in working with high-achieving individuals and couples who carry significant vocational, professional, and spiritual responsibility:

• Physicians, attorneys, executives, and senior professionals

• Pastors, ministry leaders, chaplains, and clergy

• Couples navigating the unique pressures of high-demand careers and faith leadership

• Individuals ready to heal the wounds beneath their success

MY PROMISE TO YOU

"I help you heal mentally, emotionally, and spiritually — so your patterns don't just change. They break."

You will not be rushed. You will not be judged. You will be challenged — with warmth, clinical precision, and a deep belief that you were made for more than where you are.

In addition, I am a Certified Temperament Counselor, Certified Professional Coach and a Certified Facilitator of the Elijah House program. I am a Certified Prepare Enrich facilitator, a program that supports marriages and pre marital couples. I worked as a counselor with the Life Guidance Center at Calvary Temple International before I started a private practice in which I have been privileged to help many people who are struggling with the diverse challenges of life.

As much as I help others, I have personally experienced and still experience life’s challenges just like everyone else in this world. After graduating from college, I became really sick and almost died. Doctors didn’t know what to do for me and I was at the end of my rope. I was frustrated and confused, but in the midst of these feelings, through that difficult time, I gained a lot of insight and wisdom into the purpose of life. I also learned how to allow others to support and walk alongside me. I can confidently say that through those experiences I’ve not only learned to overcome life’s difficulties, but I’ve also learned how to help others.

This is why I desire to share with those who are hurting and brokenhearted.
